Abstract
A lot of research in the field of administration are based on the benchmark of critical theory to the analysis of social situations development own the field. Among the various authors that make up this school, Adorno has been widely used, primarily through its concepts of cultural industry, a company administered and critical education. However, critical theory has been widely used to provide a theoretical nature studies and essayistic. This restricted use of this theory creates a bias (or part thereof) that the research from the frankfurtiano benchmark cannot be based on empirical data or even in the traditional form of field research such as interviews and surveys, very common to the area. The purpose of this article is, therefore, reveal the inherent relationship between critical theory and empirical research. Once put to the table, create the conditions for critical reflection and to the “rescue of the moment of realization of philosophy” (ADORNO, 2009, p. 11). We proposed the one to rescue the empirical design of critical theory, in particular in decoration. We seek with this effort contribute to the field of organizational studies through the definition of the empirical research very common to this field can be based on theoretical principles developed by Adorno and his colleagues at the Institute for Social research.
