Carreiras profissionais em transformação: fatores que interferem nas estratégias de carreira dos funcionários do banco do Brasil

This article shows the results of research made with employees of Banco do Brasil to verify the elements that interfere in the establishment of their career strategies. For this reason, If a model was developed connecting four criteria variables, with thirty two other antecedent ill» variables, distributed in six categories: individual, functional aspects, organizational politics, personal attitudes toward work, environment and work values. The study, of a descriptive- exploratory character, used a design of transverse cut and was based on the participation of 620 employees, chosen at random. It involved the application of a questionnaire containing closed items measuring the different variables of the model. The results demonstrated that most of the Banco do Brasil's employees use as career strategies, the resources originated by the valuation of their individual potential (investment in personal qualification, will to learn continually etc), denominated "internal resources". Regarding their career planning, the majority revealed a "pro-active" attitude, counting on the support of Banco do Brasil in their initiatives.
