Desenvolvimento da liderança formal: o modelo de gestão da Siemens

In this paper we present a case study carried through at Siemens-Brazil, which covers the first steps of a project oriented to their formal leadership. The purpose of the project is to improve the corporate results while consolidating the high quality of their personal relationships. Over the years, leadership has been depicted in many ways, focusing on the leaders' attributes, authority and power relations, different contingencies which can affect its effectiveness, and the necessity to achieve the corporate targets. This project under implementation at Siemens-Brazil was designed to incorporate aspects of different leadership approaches in a particular model, which encompasses a bundle of competencies, formatted according to their specific circumstances, which shall enable their leaders to inspire people, develop plans and lead the actions to achieve the targets set and controlled by using the BSC model.
