Carreira gerencial: os dramas e as tramas de gerentes em organizações Brasileiras

This article presents results of researches made with managers, in companies located in Minas Gerais state, Brazil. These data are related to how these professionals perceive and experience the managerial career. This social group is undergoing a (Us period of transition in which we can observe the following: see new boundaries for this career, groups of managers with differently experienced realities in the face of new organization technologies in a changing global economy. The manager's career repeats the concept of individual mobility and its impacts over his professional experience having three kinds of mobility: ascendant, descendant and stable The manager's career stands out by the characteristics of this professional. This is a group who, more than other wagerworkers, experiences a complex universe of contradictions. Despite of these characteristic features, we can not consider this group neither a homogenous group nor an acknowledged category able to act accordingly to their own will. The manager's career tends to lose its traditional features but the manager is still the key actor in this context of organizational turbulence.
