This essay discusses the concept of techonocracy in order to verify if it still has importance in the Brazilian present situation in particular in the study or organization theories. The technocracy term has been used in the last either decades legitimate decisions or using techonocrat in a depreciative way. In the first case, decisions are justified arguing the cientific character of them. In the second one, techocrats have been pointed as individuals ont of reality.
