We aim in this article to analyze the relationship between emotions and work while settling political action in a circus organization located in the city of Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul. Theoretically articulated approach to contextual study of emotions with the formation of organizational practices in the artistic field, from ethnographic research. The results suggest mechanisms by which emotions shaped social mobilization organization in the genesis of the circus, and the circus organizational practices studied as effects of political disputes between the circus, enterprises and public authorities of the city.
