This article, of theoretical nature, discusses the dilema of the organization studies face to the enlightenment reference, still dominant, even after the post-modernist criticisms. It is recognized and proposes the inclusion of a third concept which, with rationality empiricism can enable the overcome of a crisis existing in studies and research in the organizational field. The article claims the possibility of sharing theoretical elements of these three concepts leading to a possible agreement. The article develops the two first concepts followed by features of the post-modernist phenomenon in order to develop the third concept, ending with the articulation of all of them. Finally, the presence of this third concept in the organizational studies is showed.
