TOWARDS AN ARTICULATION OF PROJECTIVE TECHNIQUES, DISCOURSE ANALYSIS AND CONSUMPTION STUDIES

Abstract

Nowadays, consumption can be considered a complex phenomenon that crosses different fields of study, tangency different perspectives of analysis and offers a wide range of interpretations, it seems essential to approximate methods, techniques and research strategies to try to learn and understand some of your questions. Thus, this study aimed to discuss the potential articulation of a form of projective technique with discourse analysis in a study involving consumption. Through literature review and empirical research it was concluded that this joint proved to be relevant. This happened in order that while the projective techniques sought to enable consumers to organize their ways of experience and through objects and materials could project his personality in terms of meaning, patterns and feelings, discourse analysis aimed to explore how the ideas produced socially were able to contribute to the construction of a particular social reality.
