The entrepreuneurial structure of football clubs

Considering that the dissemination of business principals (enterprisation process) influences directly in the way how other organizations develop their activities and emphasizing the importance of cultural organisations in our society, in this text we tried to analyze the impacts of a business behavior adoption in the structural configuration of Figueirense Futebol Clube and Sport Club Internacional. In order, to accomplish this research of a descriptive-interpretative nature, we used a technique of multi-case study. The subjects were selected by judgement and the data were collected in two ways, secondary data colecting (statutes, norms, sites) and primary dada colecting, in depth (semi-structured interview and observation). The general results indicate that once influenced by enterprisation process, both organizations, structured themselves, aiming, at first, to obtain financial resources. This condition, besides being closely related to the professionalisation of activities (mechanism of coordination), causes changes in other researched structural elements (complexity and centralization).
