The binomial work and education in the engineering industry is the basis of this study. With reference in the emergence of the basic schooling programmes to workers while being a proposal given by the entrepreneurs, we tried show along the work how much the proposal of the school in the work site reflects the general questions present in the current debates which rescue the basic education, at a general view, as being a fundamental variable to the processes of productive reestablishment that demands a work power with new education attributes. This work which is based on a qualitative and empirical research, has used a survey of industries, and also studies performed in some industries selected.
