This article presents a review of the literature concerning quality of life after bone marrow transplant (BMT) emphasizing psychosocial variables and personality characteristics involved in the adaptation process. Thus, analysis were reported about instruments of evaluation, used to identify predictors potential of psychosocial adjustment in order to improve a more depth understanding of psychological impact on quality of life to BMT survivors. The developed researches suggest that quality of life of survivors of BMT is associated with the personal resources related to adaptation, pointing towards the necessity of longitudinal and prospective studies.
