Constructivism, experimental psychology and neuroscience

The main objective of this article is to discuss the constructivism approach and its relations with some discovers related to the experimental psychology and neuroscience. The text was drawn up based on consulting scientific publications indexed in PsycInfo and textbooks related to the mentioned fields. The authors also argument that the effectiveness of different models of cognitive therapy can be improvement through a work with non-rational aspects of the human cognition. In the final part of this article, the authors emphasize the necessity to transform the constructivism in an appropriate metaphor for the cognitive therapy. This assumption is based on the Meichenbaum's affirmations (1993).
