Perceptions of psychologists about the training for the intervention with victims of sexual violence

This article aimed to investigate the perceptions of psychology professionals who participated in a Social Technology of Professional Training in cognitive-behavioral group therapy for the treatment of children and adolescents victims of sexual violence about the impact of training and transfer of learning. It was used the multiple case design, in semi-structured interviews with three psychologists who completed the course and coordinated therapeutic groups according to the model learned. Data were analyzed using content analysis. The results indicated that the training produced a direct impact on the professional performance of the participants. It was observed the presence of an indirect impact on the work load and on the beliefs related to sexual violence. There were cases of transfer of learning in short and long terms. The training was positively evaluated, and the intervention effective in enabling professionals in their work field with victims of sexual violence.
