This study evaluates the institutional websites of public and private universities in Spain after its adaptation to the European Higuer Education Area (EHEA). From a quality indicators guide developed by the authors, which takes into aspects related to the construction, design and website development, assesses the level of improvement achieved in public online sites, the quality of information available and the use of communication strategies that meet the new needs and demands of users.
