This paper outlines the state of the art in applying ontologies in the technological convergence of Knowledge Engineering Computational Agents and Knowledge Management Instruments. This domain is viewed as interdisciplinary and complementary domain, where the communication between knowledge engineer and knowledge management is compromised by polysemic concepts. Prospecting scenarios, we concluded that applying ontologies as knowledge models can be useful to the communication, by formalizing a resource for publishing, sharing referencing and applying interdisciplinary knowledge.
