The article tries to reflect - through the narrative certification of Rigoberta Menchú as one of the expressions of the Latin American alterity - the questions relative to a juxtaposition of the identification and identity concepts in the context of globalization. This juxtaposition dims the political speech of alterity for the construction of a homogeneous rationality of economic , cultural and politic development and, when working with the similarity of meanings cuts of the articulation of local voices from its positional contexts.
