Reports of a Theoretical-Bibliographic Research: Reconstruction as a Critical Operator

Abstract

This article discusses the conditions for the construction of a theoretical-bibliographical research from the perspective of Reconstruction as a critical operator, as postulated in Jürgen Habermas’ Critical Theory of Society. It deals with the theoretical-methodological issues of a Master’s research that epistemologically problematized human identity theory while a metamorphosis, in the light of Critical Social Psychology and its intersections with Habermas’ social theory of Life-World and its historical-social aspects of Phenomenology. After introducing the reader to the study proposal, the text presents the theoretical questions that constituted the Master’s research as an epistemological issue. Then, it situates our meanings and the relative insufficiencies of the theoretical-bibliographical research, presenting Reconstruction as a critical operator. Finally, it articulates our proposal of a reconstructive theoretical-bibliographical research through texts, contexts, and discussions, describing and analyzing its conditions for critics articulated in the dissertation research.
