The ammonium-glufosinate is an herbicide with broad spectrum of weed control, but it has no residual control in the soil, which limits its usefulness when used alone in cotton crop and there is the need to combine different herbicides in more than one mode of application. The aim of this study was to evaluate the selectivity of different weed chemical control systems containing clomazone in LL(r) cotton crop. The triple mixtures in pre-emergence showed greater reduction potential in the size of the cotton plant. It is recommended to use mixtures of two pre-emergent herbicides in cotton, with application of S-metolachlor in over the top, followed by two post-emergence applications of glufosinate-ammonium. Pyrithiobac-sodium may be used on the first post-emergence application.
