The performance of a spray boom can be evaluated from the individual nozzle distribution patterns determined in a patternator. The distribution patterns of several nozzle types at several heights were compared. Results showed better performances for TF and XR nozzles, followed by TJ60-8010,TJ60-8006 and FL nozzles. TJ60-11006 and TQ nozzles showed some localized problems and TK nozzles presented the worst results. Combinations of the relation nozzle spacing and spray boom heights for satisfactory coefficient of variation were proposed.
