The aim of this study was to obtain a mathematical equation to estimate the Tridax procumbens leaf area using linear measures of leaf blade. Correlation studies were conducted involving real leaf area (Sf), and leaf length (C), and maximum leaf width (L) and C * L. The linear and geometric equations involving parameter C provided good estimations of leaf area of this weed. From a practical viewpoint, the simple linear equation of the regression model is suggested using the C*L parameter and taking the linear coefficient equal to zero, since it provides the smallest Error of Sum of Squares. Thus, an estimation of Tridax procumbens leaf area can be obtained using the equation Sf = 0.6008 (C*L), with a determination coefficient of R² = 0.8731.
