Creativity is a theme in the teaching of art, as much for its close relationship with the art and the social and political demands that interfere in the school context and impose it as essential for the pedagogical action. In order to explain the creativity of demonstrations in the teacher's work of visual arts, conducted observation, interviews, document analysis and pictorial records in two public schools. From a qualitative analysis, we defined the following themes: creative climate in the school context; iconography of creativity in the school context; creativity as objective and art as strategy; creativity in educational work for students with disabilities. We conclude that the creativity of the manifestations present dilemmas ranging from aspects of its expression naturalized and crystallized in pedagogical work - and expectations of visual arts teachers, seeking conditions for the expression and the development of creativity in the school context.
