It has been necessary to define the School Psychologist action in front of the social educational demands to the next millennium, and this article will analyze this professional formation in a historical perspective trying to think about its identity and social compromise. We can identify major possible work areas in the School Psychology, not only in Schools since the child education through the University, but also in any educational space to promote the people developmerít 'and learning. We are focusing also on the professional associations responsible for the formation, constant actualization and professional ethics.
