Abstract
This article explains the reasons for the increasing interest of the Papacy, since 1930, on matters related to marriage, sexuality and bioethics. It underscores some important aspects of the main pontifical documents about these subjects, presents their historical contexts and points to the variations and the continuities of the papal teachings.
