Studies on the body have had continuous progress lately, with great relevance for the research in education and art. Crossed by a variety of theoretical and practical references, transformed by a disturbing combination of nature, society, science and technology, submerged in a field of tensions in which concepts and categories like subject, object and image keep close, take distance and overlap, the body, which is embodied mind and carries a 'free observer' at the same time, needs to occupy a between-place, from which it would be possible to resist to its lost of unity and integrity.
