The objective of this study was to assess depression in preschool children with the Childhood Depression Scale for Teachers. A random sample of 345 children with an mean age of 5,6 years (sd=0,96), of both sexes, was used. A data bank was organized with the teachers’ responses to the ESDM-P. The analysis of the data revealed that 3,9% of the children presented a tendency to depression.
