Diagnostic method to integrate an ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management system

This article aims to propose a diagnostic method to integrate a management system based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards at metallurgical companies. This method was first described as a diagnostic method; subsequently, however, it has been described as an application in a company that is already certified on the three studied standards but that has two different systems to manage its common requirements. In connection with these results, it is important to emphasize the satisfactory acceptance of the diagnostic process at the studied company. After performing the diagnostic, it was shown that the company did not completely meet the evaluated requirements. Improvements were suggested to integrate the common standard requirements to reduce costs and resources and to maintain the companies' management system.
