In response to Salerno's theoretical and methodological constraints to ergonomists participation in organisational design process, this paper proposes a new approach based in future work activity forecasting. Even if the Ergonomie Work Analysis (EWA) is the underlying methodological tool, in this approach, ergonomists must assume a new role, as "actors of the design process", and co-operate with the others company actors: managers, engineers, foremen and workers. But to be more effective, ergonomie intervention needs a new framework of "organisation" issues. To be more effective, it will be argued that one must approach organisâtionnal design not only by its structural components but also by its inherent social interactions and adjustments.
