The scaling-up process in the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological industry may shown problems if several requeriments are not accomplished. It has been thought that the so called "ingineerization " can contribute to reduce those problems. Several concepts such as product cicle scaling-up and their relation with ïngineerization " are analyzed. The concept of concurrent or simultaneous engineering is introduced and some aspects to bear in mind for increasing the efficiency the efficiency of this process are also analyzed.
