The article discusses the process of construction of meaning on health / disease by teens in a group discussion on health in a school of Fortaleza. Aligned to the prospect of intervention research, the research is operationalized through participant observation and a discussion group, under the form of thematic workshops on health, in a school institution in the capital of Ceará. Regarding the treatment of data, a microgenetic analysis of group interactions, focusing on immediate and historical- ideological discursive activities linked to conditions among participants, as well as evidence of continuity and transformation of the meaning of those interactions process was performed. Results suggest that, in that group, "health" as a sign appeared in dispute. On the one hand, among teens group members themselves, there was strong circulation of meanings linking health to the signs of "balance" and "prevention". Second, the analysis showed subjective repositioning mediated by interactions.
