This article presents reflections about child-play, toys and childhood in the contemporary days. The most important contributions came from Walter Benjamin and his writing about the toys. The subjective contemporary position is marked by the autonomization and the individualism, which reflects in the educational ways. Considering that the play is a subjective process it's observed that the children today are confronted with the growing subtration of this creation space by excellency. The effects of this position are observed even on the psychoanalytical clinic, where the children reveal difficulties when trying to create, revealing consequences of the transmission effects ruled by this society.
