ABSTRACT
This paper investigated the issue of subjectivity as presented by the documents referring to the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS), taking as its theoretical point social subjectivity as discussed by González-Rey. In order to analyze the reference parameters of SUAS and its articulation with the concept of social subjectivity, documentary research was used as a methodology in order to describe and analyze how the documents approach subjectivity. It was observed that the parameters do not directly express the subjective phenomenon, but they bring indications to think of which subjectivity can be discussed in the Social Assistance policy. At the end, it was concluded that the insertion of Psychology in this public policy can provide an opening to practices that contemplate subjective aspects of users and / or families beyond the purely individual dimension.
