Without fear of the unemployment: the case of the movement of unemployded workers

This article is a synthesis of the research accomplished with the Movement of the Unemployed Workers (MUW), during a master's degree course in the Program of Masters degree in Social Psychology, in the PUCRS. The investigation objectified knows the psychosocial articulations between engagement in the social movement and the possibility to overcome the unemployment. The study centered in interviews semi-structured and participants observations of general meetings of the camped. The approach revealed that the engagement in the collective proposal is entailed to a project of urban reform, which makes possible dwelling and work for unemployed communities. The study points alterations in micro and macro social levels, occurred of concrete results, like the ownership of four hundred hectares of land given by the state government and proliferation of other collective actions with similar characteristics.
