Circulations through the expanded islander living space. The internal migrations of families in the Zona Núcleo Forestal of the Paraná Delta (Buenos Aires province, Argentina)

Abstract

This article addresses the internal migrations of a group of families from the Delta of the Paraná River (Buenos Aires, Argentina) from the perspective of mobility. Based on the concepts of life space and migratory circulations, we analyze the historical process of construction of the expanded life space and the past and present logics of circulation that structures and conditions the mobility patterns of the different members of these families according to their positions of gender, generation and social class.
