INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY STRATEGIC PLANNING ALIGNED WITH BUSINESS PLANNING

ABSTRACT

The organizations are confronting a competitive and turbulent business market, likewise needing coherence and alignment between your Business Planning and your Information Technology Strategic Planning. This paper describes on a proposed model of alignment and integration between both plans. Also presents the preliminary analysis of a pilot project in ten firms. The model is based in the literature and in the researcher’s experiences, sustained by four factors groups: Information Technology; Information and Knowledge Systems; People (competencies and skill); and Firms Structure (management and processes). The conclusion reiterates the importance and the practice of alignment. In the same way, the model proposed and your constructs can be contribute with the competitive and intelligent organizations.
