AGREEMENT ANALYSIS PURSUANT TO TRANSACTION COST ECONOMY: RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN A HORTICULTURE COOPERATIVE AND A SUPERMARKET NETWORK IN THE STATE OF PERNAMBUCO

ABSTRACT

This article describes the type of agreement existing between “Cooperativa dos Horticultores de Pernambuco” (HORTICOPE), located at “Central de Abastecimento Geral de Pernambuco” (CEAGEPE), and its only customer, Bompreço supermarket network. Theoretical grounding for this study is the basic concept on Transaction Cost Economy (ECT) for agreement study purposes. This article analyses company’s tactics to assure sale of vegetables and medicinal plants with a customer considered as top-level.
