ABSTRACT
This paper critically debates the accepted historical exhaustion of the taylorism. The main purpose is to argue that, after more than a century from its introduction, the control methods of the scientific administration were improved, modernized and transformed in a way, that it seems historically abandoned. Contrarily, the rapid diffusion of electronic security systems in the corporative world represents a concrete evidence of the persistence of taylorist forms of control that, transmuted, assume a new shape on this new technical and productive paradigm.
