The discourses of well-said, un-blessed, and un-said bodies: an analysis from the movies

Abstract

This study investigates and discusses the discourses of the body (un-blessed bodies e well-said) and bodily practices displayed in the cinema. The corpus of analysis consists of 15 international films (1995-2009), systematically observed and interpreted through film analysis, generating interpretative diagrams. It was concluded that there is a biopolitical model that predominates in the movies as an expression of well-said, and that body for its production the characters resort to corporal practices, especially plastic surgery. In a separate pole, the ill said bodies are portrayed as lacking repairs and liable to trial. We suggest the existence of un-said bodies, which are derived from the sale of each other in the quest for heightened well-said of the movie screen body.
