Abstract
The objective of establishing associations between perceptions of biocultural determinants related to physical activity, personal and professional characteristics of teachers. During data collection, we used a questionnaire on perceptions of biocultural determinants in physical activity. The sample consisted of 25 Physical Education teachers of both sexes. The sample analyzed 46.5% of postgraduates teachers and 16.9% agreed that graduates biocultural determinants may enhance practice of physical activities, but with increasing age their perceptions become less positive. It was concluded that the level of education, gender and age of teachers may reflect a focused teaching practice healthy behaviors.
