Teacher training in physical education in the early years of the 1970s

ABSTRACT

The objectives of this article are to identify and understand a historical moment in Brazilian Physical Education in which a way of being, acting and thinking prevails in the initial training of teachers in this discipline. We constructed the information, using the analysis of documents from the time contained in the CEME/UFRGS collection, CNE Resolutions and the collection of one of the authors. The article is configured as a case study. The analytical process points out that since the early years of the 1970s (1969-1975), according to current regulations, there have been advances in the training of Physical Education teachers, in the theory and practice of sports training and in school Physical Education, which has gained since then. relevance in the academic debate in the area.
