Abstract
This study aims to discuss the Luso-Brazilian Games and Luso-Brazilian Congress of Physical Education in the context of Brazil-Portugal international relations (1960's). To reach the goal, as sources were used Boletim do Ultramar, Revista de Educação Física and Arquivos da ENEFD. The aim is to launch new looks to the mobilization of sport in Portuguese colonial policy and to relation between Brazil and Portugal in Physical Education/Sport Science area. At the end, we draw attention to the need to carefully evaluate contemporary initiatives similar to those investigated.
