ABSTRACT
This paper aimed to explain the critical-surpassing class approach in the component of the Physical Education curriculum. Documentary research was carried out based on curriculum documents referenced by the Department of Education of the State of Pernambuco. In these, the class is the founding unit of the pedagogical time-space, which is expanded in the form of seminars, workshops, festivals, to name a few, and qualified by the pedagogical method. It was concluded that the critical-surpassing class is operationalized by logical and historical foundations underlying the contribution from knowledge materialist-historical dialectic theory and the Critical-surpassing approach in Physical Education.
