Abstract
In 2013 Maracanã stadium was remade. This study establishes perceptions of professional builders and discusses relations between discourses and the scenery of the stadium. We used content analysis to deal with data, collected with 10 officials and workers, and results of systematic observation, in the years 2012 and 2013. The study confirms Maracanã to be aligned with patterns of ambient sustainability, comfort and security for the fans.
