Abstract
The media are part of soccer in several respects and is enjoying the returns offered by the preference of the national sport. Problematize this paper based on the following question: the transmission of soccer matches is a product of radio stations, so the clubs should receive financial transmission rights? The methodological approach consisted of a literature review, document analysis and news media regarding the attempt to charge for radio transmission intended by Atletico Paranaense in 2008. Considerations point to the inconsistency in free radio broadcast of football games and in contradiction to the sovereignty of the FIFA statutes before the law Pele.
