Abstract
The objective this study was to investigate the perception of patients in hemodialysis (HD) who participating in program of physical exercise, as clinical routine, change in sedentary behavior and the benefits the intervention. Eighteen patients inserted in program of physical exercise, performed during HD sessions (3 times/week) for 17 weeks. Was used semi-structured interview, transcribed and analyzed by content analysis. The patients reported increasing strength, disposition and provision of cardiopulmonary capacity, decreasing cramps and improve sleep. After the program of physical exercise many patients showed physical and psychological benefits, beyond of modify some habits that characterized sedentary behavior.
