Abstract
This study aimed to verify the influence of the consumption of different handmade drinks containing carbohydrates during training on lactate and glucose concentration and affective feeling of Rhythmic Gymnastics (RG) athletes. The study was conducted with 10 athletes (14-19 years) of RG, performed during three consecutive days (1st day: control G1, 2nd day: Supplement 1 G2, 3rd day: Supplement 2 G3), with intake at three different times: at the beginning of training, 1 hour and 2 hours after. The results showed that the supplements were effective in maintaining glucose; moreover, the handmade drinks containing carbohydrates provided greater sense of pleasure at the efforts, especially in G3.
