INTRODUCTION: The present study is an approach of the Quality of Life of burned patients hospitalized in a Burned Treatment Center. The objective of this study was to verify which the domains of Quality of Life of those patients were more committed or preserved, during the hospitalization. METHODS: For the quantitative of the 15 interned patients, was chosen a descriptive-analytic statistics, where the sampling represented the 100% of the universe to be studied. The research instrument chosen was the SF-36 - Medical Outcomes Shorts-form Health Survey, for being a questionnaire of generic evaluation of health, with easy administration and understanding. RESULTS: The results showed the domains physical aspect, emotional aspect and pain as the more committed during the hospitalization. On the other hand, the domains that came as more preserved were: vitality, mental health and general state of health. CONCLUSION: Even being in physical conditions of great pain and limitation of movements, the individuals tended showing themselves optimists, confidents in their own recovery and demonstrating a good perception of patterns of Quality of Life.
