The article aims to discuss the problem of reflectivity, with particular reference to recent theories about the issue, aiming two goals: 1) to introduce a less rationalistic and restricted concept of reflectivity, which must be also less marked by the division between subject and object, therefore unfolding it into other directions; 2) to think how the several kinds of modernities, with their multiple traditions, can be analyzed making use of such a transformed concept of reflectivity, to a great extent ractical in its use, including here the Brazilian case.
