ABSTRACT
This experiment was carried out under greenhouse conditions with melon crop ( Cucumis melo L.) in the Plasticulture Sector of the Rural Engineering Department of UNESP/FCAVJ - Jaboticabal Campus,in order to establish the effect of organic and mineral fertilization over the production and productivity (kg m-2) of fruits.The experiment had the following treatments:T1-cultivar AF-522 with organic fertilization,T2-yellow cultivar CAC with organic fertilization,T3-cultivar AF-522 with mineral fertilization, and T4-yellow cultivar CAC with mineral fertilization.A factorial scheme of 2x2 with 9 repetitions was used.The statistical analysis of the data revealed that the melon crop under mineral fertilization was better in comparison to that under organic fertilization.The influence of the fertilization on soluble solids, acidity and maturation index was observed.
