Infiltration is one of the processes of the hydrologic cycle that has been exhaustively studied and documented. The theories and models proposed for the description of these processes are generally applied for small plots of land, subjected to an intensity of rainfall greater than its infiltration capacity. The objective of this study was to estimate the excess of rainfall for two events of the pluvial precipitation, providing the initial value of the water content of the upper soil layer and the parameters like minimum rate of infiltration capacity (f c) and initial infiltration capacity (f o). The excess of rainfall produced during the total period was 15.2 mm in the first case, and 8.2 mm in the second.
