Abstract
The objective of this work was to evaluate the content of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium in yellow melon irrigated with salinized waters. The experimente was carried out in Entissol at Santa Júlia farm in the State of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Four waters were used with different salinities (EC = 0.6, 1.9, 3.2 and 4.5 dS m-1). The experimental design was a completely by randomized block with four replicates. The content of nitrogen, potassium, calcium and magnesium were appraised during 65 days. The data showed that there was dilution effect for nitrogen and potassium and concentration effect for the calcium and magnesium. The salinity of the water influence negatively the content of potassium, calcium and magnesium in melon irrigated varied in the sequence K>Ca>Mg.
